Speed humps are a frequently requested traffic calming measure that is a rounded device across the roadway that causes vehicles to reduce speed. They are sometimes broken up to allow a clear path for bicyclists, and contain signage and paint markings so that they are visible. They are typically used on residential streets where there is a desire to slow vehicle speeds.

Speed humps are typically not installed on streets that exceed 6,000 cars per day.

Generally, the City is responsible to maintain roadway paving and other features in the roadway, such as speed humps.
